If you have read my blog, then you would have probably guessed that my next cruise will be on Royal caribbean rather than Carnival. you ask why? well, the last cruise on Carnival did not have a gally tour, or shuffelboard, and the atrium stunk like you know what. any comments?

Hi Ed,

Monarch of the Seas is now on our end, east coast out of Port Canaveral to the Bahamas stopping at CocoCay. Let us know when you're ready to take the trip!

Hi Ed!

Thanks for posting your photos.
I see you've done a few cruises!

The Carnival Splendor

We have just returned from a 7 day cruise to the Mexician Riviera. I found the ship to be much larger, than the fantasy class ships, Paradise and Elation, we cruised before, but the decor was much the same. I was disapointed because there was no galley tour, or shuffle board, and the show lounge sucked. As always ,Carnival offers good food, great shows, nice crew members, and a good price for the cruise, It is said that Carnival is the worlds largest cruise line, and that may be true, but in my… Continue

Royal Caribbean (3 and 4 day cruises)

I'm sure that I am not alone, when I say , Royal Caribbean please bring back a ship for short cruises out of Long Beach, to Santa Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico, or maybe San Francisco. Some of us are not able to take 7 or 14 days off work for a cruise. I love to cruise, but Carnival is the only cruise line offering short cruises out of Long Beach. What do you think?

RCL or Carnival

If you have seen my page, then you probably know that I have cruised on RCL's Monarch of the Seas, and Carnival's Paradise and Elation. If we can save enough money, we would like to cruise again early in 2010. Tell me, what would you prefer, 7 days to the Mexician Riviera, on the Marinier of the Seas, or would you prefer 8 days to the Mexician Riviera, with 2 days in Acapulco, Zihuatanejo and Manzanillo on the Carnival Spirit? The cost is about the same, but is the Spirit just another fun ship,… Continue

short cruises

Living in the Los Angeles area, is great for Disneyland, but for short cruises, forget it. It's too bad that the Monarch of the Seas has left us. I enjoyed the rock climbing wall, and the rap around promenade deck for walking. Carnival still offers 3 and 4 day cruises,on the Paradise and Elation, out of Long Beach and San Diego to Santa Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico, but both ship are the same, and they are not as beautiful as the Monarch..
