RCL or Carnival

If you have seen my page, then you probably know that I have cruised on RCL's Monarch of the Seas, and Carnival's Paradise and Elation. If we can save enough money, we would like to cruise again early in 2010. Tell me, what would you prefer, 7 days to the Mexician Riviera, on the Marinier of the Seas, or would you prefer 8 days to the Mexician Riviera, with 2 days in Acapulco, Zihuatanejo and Manzanillo on the Carnival Spirit? The cost is about the same, but is the Spirit just another fun ship, or does she compare with the elegents, and decor of RCL's ships?
